The LT3755EMSE-2 are DC/DC controllers designed to act as a constant current source for driving high current LEDs. They drive a low-side external N-channel power MOSFET from an internally regulated 7.15 V. The fixed-frequency, current-mode architecture provides stable operation over a wide range of supply and output voltages. A ground-referenced voltage FB pin serves as an input for multiple LED protection function circuits and also allows the converter to act as a constant voltage source. A frequency adjustment pin allows the user to set the frequency over the 100kHz to 1MHz range, designed to optimise efficiency, performance or external component size.

The LT3755EMSE-2 detects output current on the high side of the LED string. High-end current sensing is a flexible solution for driving LEDs, allowing for boost, buck mode, or buck-boost mode configurations.The PWM input provides LED dimming ratios up to 3000:1, while the CTRL input provides additional analogue dimming capability.
