Product Description

The LP5030RJVR device is a 30-channel constant current trap LED driver with a 29kHz, 12-bit PWM generator for each channel as well as channel/module independent colour mixing and intensity control (previously known as Brightness Control Registers) to achieve vivid LED effects with zero audible noise. Users can benefit from the device's ultra-low shutdown Iq power saving mode, while designers can very easily code for software with the LP5030RJVR's three programmable groups (R G B).


The LP5030RJVR devices control each LED output with 12-bit PWM resolution and a 29kHz switching frequency. This control helps to achieve a smooth reduction in intensity and eliminates audible noise. The device has different colour mixing and intensity control registers, making it very easy to write software code. Global R, G, and B group control significantly reduces the microcontroller load when targeting a fade-in/fade-out type of breathing effect, and the LP5030RJVR device also enables PWM phase shifting to help reduce the input power budget when multiple LEDs are turned on at the same time.


The LP5030RJVR device has an automatic power save mode for ultra-low quiescent current. When all channels are turned off for 30ms, the total power consumption of the device drops to 10µA, making the LP5030RJVR device a possible replacement for battery powered end devices.
