The LT3744EUHE is a fixed-frequency, synchronous step-down DC/DC controller, specifically designed to drive an LED load with a continuous current of up to 20A or a pulse current of up to 40A. The peak current mode controller will maintain an LED current regulation rate of ±3% over a wide output voltage range from VEE to VIN. By allowing VEE to float to a negative voltage, a simple single step-down output stage can be used to drive multiple series leds from a single lithium-ion battery. PWM dimming is achieved by using the PWM pin. The adjusted LED current is set using the analog voltage on the CTRL pin. Stabilizing voltage and overvoltage protection are set by a voltage divider connected between the output and the FB pin. The switching frequency can be set within the range of 100 KHZ to 1MHz through an external resistor on the RT pin.

The LT3744EUHE is suitable for high-power LED lighting, laser diodes and other scenarios, and needs to be paired with external power devices to achieve high-voltage conversion. The input voltage needs to be ≥7V to maintain a 12A current regulation.
