The LT3743EUFD is a fixed-frequency, synchronous step-down DC/DC controller specifically designed for driving high-current leds. The average current mode controller will maintain the inductor current regulation function within a wide output voltage range of 0V to (VIN - 2V). The following are its core features:

PWM dimming offers a dimming ratio as high as 3000:1

CTRL_SEL dimming offers a dimming ratio of up to 3000:1 between any currents

Three-state current control for color mixing

Current regulation accuracy of ±6%

By adopting load capacitors that perform switching operations externally, the LT3743EUFD can change the modulated LED current level within a few μs, thereby providing accurate and high-speed PWM dimming between two current levels. The switching frequency can be set within the range of 200kHz to 1MHz through an external resistor on the RT pin.

Other features of the LT3743EUFD include voltage regulation and overvoltage protection functions (set using a voltage divider connected between the output terminal and the FB pin). The overcurrent protection function is provided and set by the CTRL_H pin.
