The LP5862RSMR 2 × 18 LED matrix driver is designed to improve the good user experience with animation effects and indication functions using LED matrices in a small footprint solution. It integrates 18 constant current traps with N (N = 1/2/4/6/8/11) switching MOSFETs to support N × 18 LED points or N × 6 RGB LEDs, and supports both virtual dimming and PWM dimming methods. For analogue dimming, the device is capable of regulating each LED point in 256 steps. For PWM dimming, an integrated 8-bit or 16-bit configurable PWM generator provides smooth dimming control with no audible noise.
