The TPS92642QPWPRQ1 is a single-chip synchronous step-down LED driver with a wide operating input voltage range of 5.5V to 36V and a 40V tolerance, supporting a continuous load drop of 400 ms. TPS92642QPWPRQ1 has achieved adaptive on-time average current mode control based on inductor valley current detection. Adaptive on-time control provides a nearly constant switching frequency, which can be set between 100 kHz and 2.2 MHz. Inductive current detection and closed-loop feedback can achieve an accuracy better than ±4% over a wide range of inputs, outputs and ambient temperatures.
