The MAX20050CATC/V are high brightness LED (HB LED) drivers for automotive exterior lighting applications. The device consists of a fully synchronous buck converter with integrated MOSFETs, capable of operating at up to 2A with minimal external components. External compensation is used for full flexibility, and a wide input supply range of 4.5V to 65V supports extreme automotive cold-start and load-surge conditions. Low switching frequency and high switching frequency options (400kHz or 2.1MHz) provide designers with the flexibility to optimise solution size or efficiency.
