The STP16CPC26MTR is a monolithic, low voltage, 16-bit constant current LED sink driver. The device contains a 16-bit shift register and data latch to convert serial input data to a parallel output format. At the output stage, 16 regulated current generators provide a constant current from 5 mA to 90 mA to drive the LEDs, which can be externally adjusted with a resistor.The LED brightness can be adjusted from 0% to 100% with the OE pin.

The STP16CPC26MTR guarantees 20 V drive capability, allowing the user to connect more LEDs in series with each current source.

The high clock frequency of 30 MHz makes the device suitable for high data rates.

A thermal shutdown function (170 °C with a hysteresis of about 15 °C) ensures over-temperature protection.
