A 40V, 350mA buck regulator with a 2.5μA quiescent current and an integrated diode.

Product Description

The LT3970IDDB-3.3 is an adjustable frequency monolithic buck switch mode regulator that accepts an input voltage range up to 40V and consumes only 2.5μA of quiescent current. The bare die includes an efficient switch, flyback diode, boost diode, and the necessary oscillator, control, and logic circuits. In typical applications, low-ripple burst mode maintains high efficiency at low output currents while keeping output ripple below 5mV. A current-mode topology is used to achieve fast transient response and good loop stability. The current-limiting value of the current-limiting diode provides protection against short-circuit output and overvoltage conditions. An enable pin with an accurate threshold is provided, generating a low shutdown current of 0.7μA. When VOUT reaches 90% of the programmed output voltage, the power supply is indicated as normal.
