The LT3433IFE is a 200kHz fixed-frequency current-mode switching regulator that can provide both boost and buck regulation using a single inductor. The IC operates over an input voltage range of 4V to 60V, making it suitable for a wide variety of applications requiring a broad input voltage range, such as automotive electronics that must withstand load dump and cold start conditions.

Internal control circuits monitor system conditions and seamlessly switch between ‘buck’ and ‘boost’ voltage conversion by transitioning from single-switch buck operation to dual-switch bridge operation when necessary.

Optional Burst Mode® operation reduces no-load quiescent current to 100μA and maintains high efficiency at light loads.

Current limit foldback and frequency foldback help prevent inductor current from becoming uncontrolled during startup. Programmable soft-start helps avoid output overshoot during startup.  

The LT3433IFE is available in a 16-pin thermally enhanced TSSOP package.
