Product Description

The TPS61040QDBVRQ1 device is a high-frequency boost converter for automotive applications with output voltages up to 28 V output voltage. NiMH/NiCd batteries or a single lithium-ion battery produce output voltages up to 28 V and support input voltages from 1.8 V to 6 V. The TPS61040QDBVRQ1 device operates with a switching frequency of up to 1 MHz, enabling input voltages up to 1.8 V to 6 V. The TPS61040QDBVRQ1 device is a high-frequency boost converter for automotive applications. The switching frequency of up to 1 MHz allows the use of small external components such as ceramic elements and tantalum output capacitors. Combined with the space-saving 5-pin SOT-23 package, the TPS61040QDBVRQ1 devices achieve a small overall solution size. the TPS61040QDBVRQ1 devices have an internal 400 mA switching current limit, while the TPS61040-Q1 devices have an internal 400 mA switching current limit and the TPS61040QDBVRQ1 devices have 250-mA switching-current limiting, providing lower output voltage ripple and allowing the use of smaller form factor inductors.The TPS61040QDBVRQ1 devices operate in a pulse-frequency modulation (PFM) scheme with constant-peak current control. The combination of low quiescent current (28 µA typical) and an optimised control scheme allows the device to operate at high efficiency over the entire load range.
