The FlexWire interface of the UART-based TPS929121QPWPRQ1 makes it easy to communicate over long distances off-board by using the industry-standard CAN physical layer without compromising EMC. The TPS929121QPWPRQ11 is a 12-channel, 40 V high-side LED driver with 8-bit output current and 12-bit PWM duty cycle control. The device meets a wide range of open LED, short to ground, and single LED short circuit diagnostics to satisfy a variety of regulation requirements. A configurable watchdog also automatically sets a fail-safe state when the MCU is disconnected, and the TPS929121-Q1 can be flexibly configured for different application scenarios via a programmable EEPROM.
