The TPS92643QPWPRQ1 is a monolithic synchronous buck LED driver with a wide operating voltage range of 5.5 V to 36 V and a 40 V tolerance, supporting a load dump duration of 400 ms. The TPS92643QPWPRQ1 implements adaptive on-time averaging with current-mode-controlled detection. Adaptive on-time control provides near constant switching frequency from 100 kHz to 2.2 MHz. Inductor current sensing and closed-loop feedback provide better than ±4% accuracy over a wide range of input, output, and ambient conditions.

This high performance LED driver can independently regulate LED current using either analogue or PWM regulated LED current dimming technology. Linear analogue dimming range is achieved by setting the IADJ voltage to achieve a linear analogue dimming range in excess of 15:1. PWM dimming of the LED current is achieved by either directly adjusting the duty cycle of the UDIM input pin at the desired duty cycle, or by setting the analogue voltage of the APWM to enable the internal analogue-to-PWM conversion. The internal PWM generator converts the external analogue voltage by comparing it to an internal 1.4 kHz ramp signal. The TPS92643QPWPRQ1 integrates advanced diagnostic and fault protection features, cycle-by-cycle switching current limit, self-starting undervoltage, open LED, shorted LED, and thermal shutdown. 0.65 mm lead spacing.
