The MAX2871ETJ is an ultra-wideband phase-locked loop (PLL), integrated voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) that operates in both integer and fractional n-division modes. When used in combination with external reference oscillators and loop filters, the MAX2871 is a high-performance frequency synthesizer capable of synthesizing frequencies from 23.5MHz to 6.0GHz while maintaining excellent phase noise and spurious performance.
With multiple integrated Vcos covering the 3000MHz to 6000MHz range, and with output dividers from 1 to 128, the ultra-wide frequency range is possible. The device also offers dual differential output drivers that can be programmed independently to provide output power from -1dBm to +8dBm. Both outputs can be silenced by software or hardware control.
