Product Description

The MAX6126BASA25 is an ultra-low-noise, high-accuracy, low-dropout reference voltage source. This series of reference voltage sources incorporates curvature correction circuitry and features high-stability, laser-trimmed thin-film resistors with a temperature coefficient as low as 3ppm/°C (maximum), delivering outstanding initial accuracy of ±0.02% (maximum). The proprietary low-noise reference architecture delivers low flicker noise of 1.3µV p-p and broadband noise as low as 60nV/√Hz (at 2.048V output) without increasing the supply current typically associated with low-noise reference sources. Broadband noise performance can be enhanced to 35 nV/√Hz and AC power supply noise suppressed by adding a 0.1 µF capacitor to the noise-reduction pin. The MAX6126BASA25 series-mode reference supports a supply voltage range of 2.7V to 12.6V, ensuring load regulation of less than 0.025Ω with sink and source currents up to 10mA. These devices support the automotive application temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.


The MAX6126BASA25 typically draws 380μA supply current and provides output voltages of 2.048V, 2.500V, 2.800V, 3.000V, 3.300V, 3.600V, 4.096V, and 5.000V. The MAX6126 also features a low dropout voltage of 200mV. Unlike traditional shunt-mode (two-terminal) reference voltage sources that consume excessive supply current and require external resistors, the MAX6126BASA25's supply current is virtually independent of supply voltage and requires no external resistors. The MAX6126BASA25 operates stably with load capacitance ranging from 0.1µF to 10µF.
