The MAX22518AWA is a dual-channel digital galvanic isolator using Maxim's proprietary process technology with a field-side power supply integrated into the isolator. The field-side power is provided by the logic side using an integrated isolated DC-DC converter. This approach eliminates the need for bulky and expensive external isolated power supplies when the power requirements at the field side are low. All devices in the family have basic isolation and can withstand a rated voltage of 3.5kVRMS for 60s or operate continuously at a rated voltage of 445VRMS.
