The ISL95808 is a high frequency dual MOSFET driver with low off current, optimised to drive two N-channel power MOSFETs in a synchronous rectifier buck converter topology, which is particularly suited to mobile computing applications requiring high efficiency and excellent thermal performance. Combined with Intersil's multi-phase buck PWM controller, this driver forms a complete single-stage core voltage regulator solution for advanced mobile microprocessors.

The ISL95808's lower gate driver has a typical fill current of 4 A. This current is capable of keeping the lower MOSFET gate off during the rising edge of the phase node. This prevents breakdown power loss due to the high dv/dt of the phase voltage. This operating voltage matches the 30V breakdown voltage of MOSFETs commonly used in mobile computer power supplies.
