Automotive Dimmable LED Driver N-Channel Controller with Low-Side Current Sensing

Product Description

The TPS92690Q1PWP/NOPB device is a high voltage, low side N-channel field effect transistor (NFET) controller with adjustable output current sense resistor voltage. Ideal for LED drivers, it contains all the features required to implement current regulators based on boost, SEPIC, flyback and CuK topologies.


Output current regulation is based on peak current mode control monitored by a control loop. This approach simplifies the design of loop compensation while providing inherent input voltage feed-forward compensation. The device includes a high-voltage start-up regulator that operates over a wide input range of 4.5 V to 75 V. The PWM controller is designed for high-speed performance, with an oscillator frequency range of up to 2 MHz. The TPS92690Q1PWP/NOPB devices feature error amplifiers, precision references, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, and thermal shutdown.
