The HMC787ALC3B is a general-purpose, dual-balanced mixer in a RoHS-compliant 12-pin ceramic lead-free chip carrier (LCC) package that can be used as an up-converter or down-converter in the 3 GHz to 10 GHz range. The mixer is fabricated using a gallium arsenide (GaAs) metal semiconductor field effect transistor (MESFET) process, eliminating the need for external components or matching circuits.The HMC787ALC3B provides excellent local oscillator (LO)-to-radiofrequency (RF) and LO-to-intermediate-frequency (IF) isolation through an optimised balun structure, and operates at a 17 dBm LO drive level. The ceramic LCC package eliminates the need for wire bonding and is compatible with high volume surface mount manufacturing techniques.
