The ADUM4224WCRWZ is a 4 A isolated half-bridge gate driver that uses ADI's iCoupler® technology to provide separate and isolated high and low side outputs. The ADUM4224WCRWZ provides 5000 V rms isolation and is available in a wide-body 16-pin SOIC package. These isolation devices combine high-speed CMOS with single-chip transformer technology, providing excellent performance characteristics over alternative devices such as pulse transformer and gate driver combinations.

Each of the ADUM4224WCRWZ isolators provides two independent channels of isolation. These devices operate from a 3.0 V to 5.5 V supply voltage and are compatible with low-voltage systems. The ADUM4224WCRWZ offers the advantage of true current isolation between the inputs and each of the outputs, compared to gate drivers that use a high-voltage level conversion method. Each output has a continuous operating voltage of up to 560 VPEAK relative to the input, thus supporting low-end switching to negative voltages. The differential voltage between the high side and the low side can be up to 800 VPEAK.
