The TPS65381AQDAPRQ1 device is a multi-rail power supply designed to power microcontrollers (MCUs) for safety-related applications in markets such as automotive and industrial. The device supports Texas Instruments' (TI) Hercules™ TMS570 MCU and C2000™ MCU families, as well as a variety of other MCUs with dual-core lock-step (LS) or loosely-coupled architectures (LC).
The TPS65381AQDAPRQ1 device integrates multiple power rails to power the MCU, Controller Area Network (CAN) or FlexRay, and external sensors. The asynchronous buck switch-mode power converter has an internal FET that converts the input supply (battery) voltage to a 6V pre-regulator output. The 6V pre-regulator supplies power to other regulators. The device supports wake-up via IGNITION or CAN transceiver.
