The MAX22199ATJ+ eight-channel industrial digital input converts eight 24V current-absorbing industrial inputs into serial outputs docked to 3V to 5.5V logic and SPI-compatible. The IEC 61131-2 compliant industrial digital input devices can be used as eight Type 1/Type 3 digital inputs or four Type 2 digital inputs. the MAX22199 eight-channel industrial digital inputs feature diagnostic functions including thermal shutdown, 24V undervoltage alarms, 24V missing voltage alarms, and SPI and CRC communication error detection. All faults are provided with configuration to generate an interrupt via the FAULT pin.
The MAX22199ATJ+ features a 4-pin SPI interface and synchronous input data sampling across multiple devices using latching inputs. the SPI interface operates at either 3.3V or 5V logic levels, is controlled by the VL pin, and is available in a 5mm x 5mm TQFN package.
