The MAX7370ETG is an 8 x 8 keyboard switch controller and LED driver /GPIO with I2C interface and high ESD protection ‌. It adopts a 24-pin TQFN package, with a size of 3.5x3.5mm, and is suitable for mobile phones, PDAs and other portable consumer electronics applications. The MAX7370ETG can manage up to 64 key switches and offers optional LED drivers with GPIO and PWM control.

The main features of MAX7370ETG are as follows:

±8kV IEC 61000-4-2 contact discharge

±15kV IEC 61000-4-2 air gap discharge

The key scanning function uses static matrix monitoring to achieve low EMI operation

Four LED driver pins are provided on COL7 - COL4

The 5V tolerance, open-drain I/O port can drive a constant current LED

256-step PWM independent LED brightness control accuracy

The range of individual LED flicker rate and general LED dimming/fading rate: 256ms to 4096ms

The FIFO queue supports up to 16 debouncing key events

The user can configure the time for pressing and releasing the keys to shake off (2ms to 32ms).

Provide a key switch interrupt (low-level valid INT) at the end of each debouncing event /FIFO level or definable time period.

Working power supply voltage range: 1.62V to 3.6V

GPIO can be programmed separately into two logic levels

8-channel independent programmable level converter

Optional GPIOs are provided on all ROW_ and COL_ pins

Supports hot plugging

A 400kbps, 5.5V tolerance I²C serial interface with optional bus timeout
