Product Description

The MAX22291 is a family of 2-channel enhanced, fast, low-power digital galvanic isolators using Maxim's proprietary process technology. All devices feature enhanced isolation and can reach a rated withstand voltage of 3kVRMS in less than 60 seconds. The automotive and general purpose devices are rated for operating ambient temperatures from -40°C to +125°C. Devices with the /V suffix are AEC-Q100 compliant.

These devices transmit digital signals between circuits with different power domains, using only 0.78mW per channel at 1Mbps (1.8V supply). The low power consumption feature reduces system dissipation, improves reliability and enables compact designs.

These devices have a maximum data rate of 25Mbps or 200Mbps and their outputs are either default high or default low. They feature low propagation delay and low clock jitter to reduce system latency.

Independent 1.71V to 5.5V supplies on each side of the isolator also make the devices suitable for use as level converters.

The MAX22291's two channels transmit data in opposite directions, making the MAX22291 ideal for isolating transceiver Tx and Rx lines.
