The MAX22517AWA+ is a self-powered, dual channel, 3.5kVRMS digital isolator. The device can provide push-pull or leak-open output, and the default output state is logical high (push-pull version) or high resistance (leak-open version). The default state is the output state when the power domain of the device is undervoltage or the input is open. A field end power supply is integrated into the isolator. Field power is provided by the logical end using an integrated isolated DC-DC converter. This method eliminates the need for a bulky and expensive external isolated power source when the on-site power demand is small.
