The NCL30488B1DR2G is a power factor correction flyback controller for isolated constant current LED drivers. The controller operates in quasi-resonant mode to provide high efficiency. Thanks to a novel control method, the device is able to strictly regulate the constant LED current from the primary side. This eliminates the need for a subside feedback circuit, its bias and optical coupler.
