Automotive 500mA 40V Ultra Low IQ Low Dropout (LDO) Linear Regulator with Power Uptime Indication

Product Description

The TPS7B8601BQDDARQ1 is a low dropout linear regulator dedicated to connecting batteries in automotive applications. With an input voltage range of up to 40V, the device is designed to withstand transients that can occur in automotive systems, such as sudden load drops. With a quiescent current of only 17µA at light loads, the device is an excellent solution for powering normally-open devices such as microcontrollers (MCUs) and controller area network (CAN) transceivers in backup systems.


The device's advanced transient response allows the outputs to respond quickly to load or line changes, such as during cold-start conditions. In addition, the novel architecture of the device minimises output overshoot during recovery from voltage dips. In normal operation, the device maintains ±0.85% DC accuracy over the entire line, load, and temperature range.
