Product Description

The TPS7A2650DRVR low dropout (LDO) linear regulator supports a 2.4V to 18V input voltage range and features extremely low quiescent current (IQ). These features better enable modern appliances to meet increasingly demanding energy requirements and help extend the battery life of portable power solutions.


The TPS7A2650DRVR is available in both fixed-voltage and adjustable-voltage versions. For greater flexibility or higher output voltage, the adjustable voltage version uses a feedback resistor to set the output voltage from 1.24 V to 17.4 V. Both versions feature a 1% output regulation accuracy for precision adjustment of the microcontroller (MCU) reference voltage.


With an open-drain power-good state (PG) output, the device can provide reset for the MCU, or wire-OR and level-switch with other open-drain PGs to provide system-wide PG or reset.


The TPS7A2650DRVR LDO has a maximum dropout of less than 590mV at 500mA, making it more efficient than standard linear regulators. This maximum dropout voltage allows the device to achieve 87.7% efficiency with a 5.0V output voltage (VOUT) from a 5.7V input voltage (VIN).
