The ADM2865EBRNZ is a 5.7 kV rms signal and power isolated RS-485 interface transceiver. The kit allows headroom on double-layer printed circuit boards (PCBs) through the use of two small external 0402 ferrites on the isolated power and ground pins, and passes radiated emission testing to EN 55032 Class B standards. The kit features an integrated, low electromagnetic interference (EMI) isolated DC-DC converter, eliminating the need for an external isolated power supply. Isolated barriers provide immunity to system-level EMC standards. The Isolator Kit series has ±12 kV contact and ±15 kV air IEC61000-4-2 ESD protection on the A, B, Y, and Z pins of the RS-485 interface.
