Product Description

The ADR1000AHZ is a 6.62 V, highly stable output, oven-controlled, embedded Zener reference component built on ADI's proprietary bipolar process, and is a pin-compatible replacement for the LTZ1000. The chip includes a Zener reference voltage source, a heating resistor for temperature compensation, and a temperature detection transistor. External circuits are used to set the operating current and temperature of the reference voltage source, providing greater flexibility to achieve maximum long-term stability and lowest noise performance.


The ADR1000AHZ application circuit achieves a temperature coefficient of <0.2 ppm/°C after the first 3000 hours and a long-term drift of 0.5 ppm per year (typical values).


The ADR1000AHZ's low long-term drift makes it ideal for any application requiring high precision over extended calibration intervals or product lifetimes. Since the ADR1000AHZ's on-chip heater maintains a constant temperature higher than the expected ambient temperature range, low temperature drift ensures that the output remains constant despite temperature changes.


The ADR1000AHZ operates within an extended industrial temperature range of −40°C to +125°C. To achieve optimised thermal drift performance, the heater's temperature setpoint must be set 10°C higher than the maximum ambient temperature to ensure good stability of the embedded Zener reference voltage source.


The ADR1000AHZ is housed in an industrial-standard sealed 8-pin TO-99 metal can package to prevent moisture ingress.
