The LT6604CUFF-2.5 device incorporates two matched fully differential amplifiers, each with a fourth-order, 2.5MHz low-pass filter. The fixed-frequency low-pass filter approximates a Chebyshev response. By integrating a filter and a differential amplifier, the device achieves extremely low distortion and noise. Under unity gain conditions, the measured in-band signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) reaches an impressive 86 dB. At higher gain conditions, the input reference noise decreases, enabling the device to handle smaller input differential signals without significant degradation of the SNR.
The gain and phase between the two channels are fully matched. The gain of each channel is independently set using two external resistors. By providing an adjustable output common-mode voltage, the LT6604CUFF-2.5 achieves level shifting, making it highly suitable for direct connection to an ADC. The technical specifications of the LT6604CUFF-2.5 are fully specified for a 3V operating voltage. When using a single 3V power supply, this differential design achieves excellent performance at signal levels up to 4VP-P.
