Product Description

The ADR1399KEZ precision shunt reference offers excellent temperature stability across a wide range of voltage, temperature, and quiescent current conditions. This reference voltage device integrates a temperature-stable loop and an active Zener diode on a single die, virtually eliminating the effect of voltage variation with temperature. The Zener circuit is fully specified at a 3 mA static current (IREF) condition, offering extremely low noise (1.44 μV peak-to-peak, 0.1 Hz to 10 Hz) and exceptional long-term stability (7 ppm/√kHr). The ADR1399KEZ's output dynamic impedance (0.08 Ω) is lower than that of the LM399, thereby reducing the impact of shunt resistors (RSHUNT) and supply voltage fluctuations on the reference output value.


The ADR1399KEZ is ideally suited for applications such as ultra-stable digital voltmeters, precision calibration equipment, and ultra-repeatable analogue-to-digital converters (ADCs). The 8-pin LCC version provides force-sensing and sensing pins to achieve lower dynamic impedance and Kelvin sensing functionality.

Available in an 8-pin LCC package

Typical reference noise (10 Hz < f < 1 kHz): 1.84 μV rms

Initial accuracy range: –300 mV to +250 mV

Low dynamic impedance: 0.011 Ω for the LCC package

Upgrade path compatible with the LM399, now supporting surface mount technology (SMT)
