Product Description

The MAX25255DAFDG/VY are small synchronous dual buck converters with integrated high-side and low-side switches. These ICs are designed to draw up to 8A current per channel at input voltages from 3V to 36V. The quiescent current at no load is only 12 µA. Voltage quality can be monitored by observing the PGOOD signal. The MAX25255DAFDG/VY can regulate the output voltage by operating at low voltages in the dropout region. By operating at 99% duty cycle, the MAX25255DAFDG/VY regulates the output voltage in the dropout region, making it ideal for automotive and industrial applications.The MAX25255DAFDG/VY is available in two fixed output voltages, 5V and 3V. Four fixed-frequency options allow for smaller external components and lower output ripple, and ensure no AM interference. The device, the MAX25255DAFDG/VY, can enter frequency hopping mode at light loads with an ultra-low quiescent current of 12 µA. Spread spectrum can be enabled when ordering the MAX25255DAFDG/VY for optimal EMI performance.
