The MAX20830TAFE are fully integrated, high efficiency, step-down DC-DC switching regulators with a PMBus interface. The devices operate with input voltages from 2.7V to 16V, have an adjustable output voltage from 0.4V to 5.8V, and load currents up to 30A.

The device's switching frequency can be configured from 500kHz to 2MHz, allowing the design to be optimised in terms of size and performance.

The MAX20830TAFE features fixed-frequency current-mode control with internal compensation. These ICs feature an optional advanced modulation scheme (AMS) that improves performance during fast load transients. Operational settings and configurable functions can be selected by connecting a pin-band resistor from the PGM_ pin to ground or using PMBus commands.
