The LT1946AEMS8E is a fixed-frequency step-up DC/DC converter with a built-in 1.5A, 36V switch.The LT1946AEMS8 is capable of generating an 8V/430mA output from a 3.3V input, making it ideally suited for powering large TFT-LCD panels.The LT1946AEMS8E's 1.2MHz switching frequency allows the use of small inductors and low value ceramic capacitors. The LT1946AEMS8E has a switching frequency of 1.2MHz, which allows the use of low-profile, slim inductors and low-value ceramic capacitors. Loop compensation can be performed internally or externally, providing flexibility for user-set loop compensation and optimised transient response with low ESR ceramic output capacitors. The soft-start function is controlled using an external capacitor, which determines the input current ramp rate during start-up.

The device's 8-pin MSOP package and high switching frequency ensure a low profile (<1.2mm height) overall solution.
