The MAX20002ATPA/V are small synchronous buck converters with integrated high-side and low-side MOSFETs, each designed for input voltages from 3.5V to 36V, output currents up to 2A/3A, and no-load quiescent currents of only 15µA. Voltage quality can be monitored by observing the PGOOD signal. These devices operate at 98% duty cycle, making them ideal for automotive applications.
The devices have a fixed output voltage of 5V/3.3V and the output voltage can be programmed from 1V to 10V. Frequency is programmable through a ground resistor on the FOSC pin from 220kHz to 2.2MHz, and the devices offer strong frequency setting and frequency hopping modes with an ultra-low quiescent current of 15µA. The pins can be programmed to turn spread spectrum on/off, further helping system designers achieve better EMC management.
The MAX20002ATPA/V are available in a small 5mm x 5mm 20-pin TQFN package with exposed pads and use very few external components.
