The MAX25223ATPA/VY is a small automotive-grade synchronous buck converter with integrated high-side and low-side switches. The device can output up to 3.5A at input voltages from +3V to +36V with a power dissipation of only 5µA input voltage from +3V to +36V and a no-load quiescent current of only 5µA quiescent current.The MAX25223ATPA/VY provides an accurate output voltage of ±2% over the normal operating input range of +6V to +18V. The converter has a minimum on-time of 65ns, enabling a large input-to-output conversion ratio. Voltage quality can be monitored by observing the PGOOD signal.The MAX25223 operates at 99% duty cycle, making it ideal for automotive and industrial applications.The MAX25223ATPA/VY is available as a standard part with fixed output voltages of 3.3V and 5V. Other fixed output voltages are available in the 3V to 5.5V range. The frequency is internally fixed at 2.1MHz, which allows the use of smaller external components, reduces output ripple, and ensures no AM interference. A 400kHz option is also available to provide minimum switching losses and maximum efficiency.
