The LT3980EDE is a single-chip, step-down switching regulator with adjustable frequency (100kHz to 2.4MHz), capable of accepting input voltages up to 58V (with transient voltages up to 80V). The LT3980EDE chip is equipped with a high-efficiency 200mΩ switch, a boost Schottky diode, as well as the necessary oscillator, controller and logic circuits. This device has the following core characteristics:

Wide input voltage range: 3.6V to 58V during operation

The overvoltage locking function can protect the circuit from safely withstanding a transient voltage of 80V

Maximum output current of 2A

Low ripple (<15 MVP-P) Burst Mode® operation:

IQ = 85μA (from 12VIN to 3.3VOUT)

Adjustable switch frequency: 100kHz to 2.4MHz

Low shutdown current: IQ < 1μA

Clamping diode current detection can protect the circuit from damage caused by short circuits and input overvoltage conditions

Synchronous frequency range: 250 KHZ to 2MHz
