Product Description

The MAX20323ENC PMIC is a USB Type-C CC pin overvoltage protector with an internal overvoltage threshold and surge protection function, which can turn off the switch. This can prevent damage to the USB Type-C CC/SBU pins. In addition, the MAX20323ENC is equipped with two channel switches with a typical on-resistance of 0.27Ω, which open when the input is below the overvoltage threshold. When the overvoltage threshold of the channel is exceeded, the corresponding switch is turned off and replaced by an exact pull-up current from the input (CC1_I/CC2_I) to the output (CC1_O/CC2_O). The MAX20323F does not have a pull-up current characteristic.


The main features of MAX20323ENC are as follows:

Flexible system design

Wide operating power supply voltage range: 2.5V to 5.5V

Each channel integrates a 270mΩ (typical value) switch with a continuous current capacity of 1A

When the CC input is below the overvoltage threshold, the power supply current drops to 20µA (typical value).

When the CC input exceeds the overvoltage threshold, provide an accurate pull-up current for the CC output (except for the MAX20323A/C/F)

Provide reliable protection

High-precision OVLO threshold: 5.75V±0.2V

Surge immunity

MAX20323/A/B: Over ±90V

MAX20323C/D/E/F: ±80V (no VENCC) or ±60V (with effective VENCC)

Ultra-fast closure: 100ns (typical value) response time

Thermal shutdown protection


The MAX20323ENC is available in a 12-pin (0.4mm pitch, 1.7mm x 1.32mm) WLP package and operates within an extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. This device is applicable to the following application scenarios, mainly including:
