The TPS54628DDAR is an adaptive turn-on time D-CAP2 mode synchronous buck converter. The TPS54628DDAR enables system designers to complete the power bus regulator set for a variety of end devices with a cost effective, low component count, low standby current solution. The TPS54628DDAR's main control loop is controlled using the D-CAP2 mode, which provides fast transient response without the need for external compensation components. Adaptive turn-on time control supports seamless transitions between pulse width modulation (PWM) mode at higher loads and Eco-mode™ operation at lighter loads. Eco-mode™ enables the TPS54628DDAR to maintain high efficiency under light load conditions. The TPS54628DDAR's proprietary circuitry also allows the device to use low equivalent series resistance (ESR) output capacitors such as polymer organic semiconductor solid capacitors (POSCAP) or SP-CAPs, as well as ultra-low ESR ceramic capacitors. The device operates from an input voltage of 4.5V to 18V VIN. The output voltage can be set between 0.76V and 5.5V. The device also features an adjustable soft-start time.The TPS54628DDAR is available in an 8-pin DDA package and is designed for operation over the -40°C to 85°C operating temperature range.
