The TPS92682QRHMRQ1 is a dual-channel peak current mode controller with an SPI communication interface controller that is programmable to operate in constant voltage (CV) or constant current (CC) mode. In CV mode, the TPS92682-Q1 can be programmed to operate as two independent or dual channel controllers. as two independent or dual-phase boost regulators. The output voltage can be programmed with an external resistor divider and an SPI programmable 8-bit DAC. In CC mode, the device can support dual-channel boost or buck LED driver topologies.LED currents can be dimmed using analogue or PWM dimming techniques. The analogue dimming range exceeds 28:1. 8-bit DAC is programmable. PWM dimming of the LED current can be achieved by direct modulation of the PWM input pin or by using the SPI programmable 10-bit PWM counter. The optional PDRV gate driver output can be used to drive an external P-channel family of MOSFETs.The TPS92682QRHMRQ1 incorporates advanced SPI-programmable diagnostics and failsafe mechanisms including: cycle-by-cycle current limiting, output over- and under-voltage protection, ILED over-current protection, and thermal warning. The device also includes an open-drain fault indicator output.
