The TDES960RTDT is a multi-functional sensor hub that collects serial sensor data from four independent video data streams via the V 3Link interface. When paired with the TSER953 serialiser, the TDES960RTDT can receive data from sensors (such as imagers that support full HD 1080p/2MP resolution at a frame rate of 60Hz). Data is received and aggregated to an output port compliant with the MIPI CSI-2 standard and interconnected with downstream processors. The device also features a second MIPI CSI-2 output port, which provides additional bandwidth or a second duplicate output for data logging and parallel processing.
The TDES960RTDT includes four V 3Link deserializers, each supporting connection via cost-effective 50Ω single-ended coaxial or 100Ω differential STP cables. The receive equaliser automatically adapts to compensate for cable loss characteristics, including degradation over time.
Each V 3Link interface also includes a separate low-latency bidirectional control channel that continuously transmits I2C, GPIO, and other control information. General-purpose I/O signals, such as those required for camera synchronisation and diagnostic features, can also utilise this bidirectional control channel.
The TDES960RTDT is housed in a cost-effective and space-saving 64-pin VQFN package.
