The LT8609AEMSE is a compact, efficient and high-speed synchronous monolithic step-down switching regulator that consumes only 1.7µV of non-switching quiescent current when the output is stabilised at 5V.The LT8609AEMSE can deliver 3A continuous current. Burst mode operation enables high efficiency, very low output current while maintaining output ripple below 10mVP-P. The SYNC pin allows synchronisation with an external clock or the use of spread spectrum modulation in EMI reduction operation. Internal compensation with peak current mode topology allows the use of smaller inductors for fast transient response and good loop stability. the EN/UV pin has an accurate 1V threshold that can be used to program the VIN UVLO or to turn the part off. a capacitor on the TR/SS pin sets the slope of the output voltage during startup, and the output voltage can be set when VOUT is within ±8.5% of the adjustable output part, or when programmable output voltage is within ±8.5% of the VOUT, or when VOUT is within ±8.5% of the programmable output part, or when VOUT is within ±2.5% of the programmable output part. A capacitor on the TR/SS pin sets the slope of the output voltage during startup, and the PG signals when VOUT is within ±8.5% on an adjustable output part, or within ±7.5% on a fixed output part with a programmable output voltage and a fault condition. The LT8609AEMSE has slower switching chip termination to reduce EMI emissions.
