Product Description

The TPS62745DSSR is a highly efficient, ultra-low-power synchronous buck converter optimised for low-power wireless applications. It provides a regulated output consuming only 400nA of quiescent current. The device is powered by two rechargeable lithium-ion batteries (the main chemistry of lithium batteries is Li-SOCl2, Li-SO2, Li-MnO2) or four to six alkaline batteries. The device has an input voltage range of up to 10V, so it can also be powered via a USB port and a thin film solar module. Output voltages are set via four VSEL pins, ranging from 1.8V to 3.3V for the TPS62745DSSR and 1.3V to 2.8V for the TPS627451. The TPS62745DSSR is paired with a small output capacitor, which is characterised by low output ripple voltage and low noise. An internal input voltage switch controlled by pin EN_VIN_SW connects the supply voltage to pin VIN_SW. This switch is dedicated to an external voltage divider that proportionally reduces the input voltage to the external ADC. This switch is automatically disconnected when the supply voltage falls below the undervoltage lockout threshold. The TPS62745DSSR is available in a small 12-pin 3mm × 2mm WSON package.
