The TPS259573DSGR 12V electronic fuse with overvoltage protection provides a circuit protection and power management solution that requires very few external components. The device features a wide input voltage range of 2.7V to 18V and an absolute maximum voltage of 20V. With multiple protection modes, the device is very effective against overloads, short circuits, voltage surges and excessive inrush currents. Accurate sensing of the output load current can be achieved by measuring the voltage drop across the current limiting resistor. In addition, the output current limit level can be set with a single external resistor. Applications with special requirements for inrush current can set the output slew rate with a single external capacitor.The TPS259573DSGR operates over the -40°C to +125°C temperature range.
