The MAX2180AETG is a highly integrated variable gain, low noise AM/FM amplifier ideal for automotive antenna design. The MAX2180AETG has independent AM and FM signal paths, each providing a 30dB gain range, controlled by an independent on-chip power detector. The AM signal channel covers the 148kHz to 30MHz input frequency range, while the FM signal channel covers the 65MHz to 162.5MHz frequency range.

The MAX2180AETG has an integrated regulator and regulator tube that allows operation in the +6V to +24V battery voltage range. Under extreme conditions, the on-chip thermal protection circuit automatically limits the junction temperature. The MAX2180AETG amplifier is ideal for use in automotive active antennas.
