The MAX20444CATG/V+ is a 4-channel backlit driver IC that integrates a boost controller for automotive displays. Integrated current output each provides up to 130mA of LED current absorption. The device accepts a wide input voltage range from 4.5V to 36V and can withstand direct automotive load drop events.
Internal current mode switch DC-DC controllers support boost or SEPIC topologies and operate from 400kHz to 2.2MHz. Integrated spread spectrum helps reduce EMI. The adaptive output voltage control scheme fully reduces the power consumption in the LED current absorption path.
