ADN4620BRSZ Device Overview:
The ADN4620/ADN46211 are dual, signal-isolated, low-voltage differential signal (LVDS) buffers that operate at speeds up to 2.5 Gbps with extremely low jitter. These devices integrate Analog Devices, Inc.'s iCoupler® technology, which is enhanced for high-speed operation, to provide drop-in galvanic isolation for the LVDS signal chain. AC coupling and/or level translation to the LVDS receiver and LVDS driver allows isolation of other high speed signals such as current mode logic (CML).
The ADN4620/ADN4621 include a refresh mechanism to monitor the input and output states and ensure that they remain unchanged in the absence of data transitions (e.g. at power-up). To achieve lower power consumption and low jitter for high speed operation, the isolator circuitry relies on a 1.8 V supply, while a 3.3 V supply is used for the LVDS receiver to support the full common mode range with an input voltage range (input common mode plus differential input voltage) of 0 V to 2.4 V, see Table 2.
The ADN4620 and ADN4621 have a wide industrial temperature range and are available in a compact SSOP package with a creepage distance of 5.3 mm (for enhanced insulation at AC supply voltages).
