The MPQ7221GRE-AEC1-P is a 16-channel LED driver that operates over a wide input voltage (VIN) range of 4.5 V to 16 V. The MPQ7221 provides 16 internal current sources for each LED string terminal. The LED current (ILED) for each channel is set by an external current setting resistor up to 80mA.

The MPQ7221GRE-AEC1-P incorporates a serial interface that can be configured with 10 different serial addresses via external resistors. This allows the MPQ7221 to support up to 10 cascaded devices to drive LED arrays. Each channel can be enabled or disabled via the serial interface.

The MPQ7221GRE-AEC1-P uses separate pulse width modulation (PWM) dimming and analogue dimming for each LED channel. Each channel uses 12-bit resolution PWM dimming and 6-bit analogue dimming.ILED slope and phase shift can be configured to optimise EMI and EMC performance.

The MPQ7221GRE-AEC1-P is available in a QFN-24 (4mmx4mm) package and is AECQ-100 certified.
