Product Description

The NCV70628MW001R2G is a single-chip microstepping motor driver with position controller and control/diagnostic interface. It can be used to build specialised mechatronic solutions that are remotely linked to a LIN master node. The chip receives positioning commands over the bus and then drives the motor coil to the desired position. The on-chip position controller can be configured (OTP or RAM) for different motor types, positioning ranges, as well as speed, acceleration and deceleration parameters. the NCV70628MW001R2G acts as a slave node on the LIN bus, and the master is able to retrieve specific status information, such as the actual position, error flags, and so on, from each of the slave nodes. The integrated sensorless stall detection is able to stop the motor when it goes from running to stall. This enables noiseless but accurate position calibration during reference operation and semi-closed loop operation close to mechanical end stops. The NCV70628MW001R2G is fully compliant with the automotive voltage requirements, thanks to the I3T50 technology, which allows both high-voltage analogue circuits and digital functions to be implemented on the same chip. Thanks to this technology, the device is particularly suitable for applications with fluctuating battery power supplies.
